The students at Queens Creek Elementary School enjoyed an assembly by Jennifer Licko. Ms. Licko shared her knowledge of Scotland, as well as her incredible vocal talent with our students in two assembly programs, one for k-2nd grade and one for 3rd-5th grade. During the performances, Ms. Licko taught the students about Scottish culture and made connections to North Carolina heritage, as well. Students and staff members alike were captivated by her enthusiasm and her beautiful voice. Ms. Licko taught the students about Scottish instruments and dance and invited students to join her on stage for a short part of the assembly. This Morning Jennifer Licko performed for our k-2 grade students and our 3-5 grade students. Both performances were age appropriate and engaging. Jennifer provided information in a manner that each group could easily comprehend. Her musical selections were of an excellent quality. Not only did Jennifer know how to relate to our students, she was able to easily regain their attention following more participatory segments of her program.
